CritiCall supplies standby fire teams for controlled effects and the agreed performance period. Personnel liaise with production managers and the appointed licensed pyrotechnic or special-effects contractor, understand when and where effects will be used and remain positioned with appropriate firefighting resources.
Our role is fire cover and emergency response. CritiCall does not operate pyrotechnics or take control of the effects themselves. If an unsafe condition develops, the crew communicates through the agreed production route and responds within the event plan.
Cover can also address temporary structures, stage-side equipment, drapes, cable routes and the interface with audiences or crew. Positioning keeps resources close enough to intervene without blocking performers, production traffic or evacuation routes.

Width, turning space, surface, gates and access through temporary fencing are considered against the vehicles expected to use the route.
During the event, inspections and patrols monitor these lanes and report obstructions through event control. The organiser or venue retains responsibility for directing contractors, traders or vehicle owners; CritiCall supports that process by identifying problems before an emergency movement is needed.
Routes can also be checked after programme changes, poor weather or periods of heavy site traffic. This helps preserve access for on-site resources and statutory emergency vehicles throughout public opening, overnight activity and stand-down.
A working base for event information
Command Unit Hire
A mobile command unit can provide a ready-to-use event-control or incident-command facility where permanent space is unavailable or unsuitable.
Units can include radio positions, planning space, incident logging, situation reporting, dispatcher workstations, welfare facilities and CCTV integration where appropriate to the selected vehicle and event systems.
CritiCall can supply a command vehicle only, provide the unit with operators, or deliver fully staffed command support using agreed roles such as radio operators, dispatchers and incident loggists. The scope is confirmed before mobilisation so the organiser knows which people, equipment and functions are included.
The facility can work as the primary event-control location, a fire and rescue coordination point or a resilient fallback. Positioning considers power, connectivity, vehicle access, welfare and the relationship with the wider production compound.

Safety Advisory Group & Event Planning Liaison
Early liaison helps turn the intended fire provision into a service that fits the agreed event plan.
CritiCall can attend Safety Advisory Group meetings and work with the organiser on fire cover, command arrangements, fire lanes, access routes and emergency rendezvous points. We can also liaise with the local authority and the relevant Fire and Rescue Service, police and ambulance representatives where the organiser's process requires it.
This contribution is practical: explaining the proposed resources, receiving site or agency information and ensuring the deployed team is briefed on the final arrangements. CritiCall does not approve the event or imply authority held by the local authority, emergency services or organiser.
